Me and Romeo ain't never been friends.ĬHIDEYA: With his growling baritone and strong stage presence, Gerald Levert went solo in 1991. LEVERT (Musical Group): (Singing) I ain't much on Casanova. The trio broke on to the music scene in the late 1980 with hits like Casanova. He formed the musical group LeVert with his younger brother Sean and friend Marc Gordon. The son of O'Jays legend Eddie Levert, Gerald started his musical career early. He died in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Friday. And now some sad news: The voice of R&B crooner Gerald Levert has been forever silenced.
