Game not working with mods - posted in XCOM 2 Technical Support: Hello Im trying to play XCom 2 with mods for the first time.
They wouldn't want you to just enjoy the game if they can mess you about. And you will discover 2K also disabled all your mods. You'll find this somewhere inside steamapps\common\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\Launcher.

Any tips on troubleshooting mod issues? Or do I need to just add one or two at a time and verify they work as I add? I've used 10 or so mods on past runs, never run into the game not launching at all level 1. There's a few work arounds like the alternative mod launcher but beyond that, they're entirely broken and I've seen nothing indicating a fix is ever comin Also-not surprisingly there is some bug or conflict in the mods I installed and XCOM 2 won't launch if the list of 250+ mods are enabled. Mods on the new launcher have been broken since it launched. Yet when I start the game I can see that LWOTC is. The community highlander and the lwotc mod are not visible in the mod list. I added the ones that are compatible with LWOTC and 50 other cosmetic mods which was active in my current campaign (from memory). So today I woke up and saw that XCOM has a new launcher. EDIT: Doing some brief research there is an alternate launcher you can download for X-Com 2 & Chimera Squad called AML ( https. The launcher was updated last night to a more unified one for the Firaxis titles, I'd assume because of the Frontier pass for Civ 6. It lists them and enables them in the mod menu before launch, but when I actually try to load a file, it says it's missing all of the mods Luckily I just finished an Xcom 2 campaign so this won't impact me at the moment.
